Life Perspectives is pleased and excited to announce the founding of the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care.TM
A top priority of the Institute are courses that educate healthcare professionals, community leaders and caregivers to provide the gold standard of care for those who struggle or grieve after pregnancy and reproductive loss.
We offer many educational opportunities for anyone committed to fostering a culture of hope and healing after reproductive loss. These courses will be offered jointly by the Institute and Life Perspectives throughout 2022.
All of our courses are available in person or virtually through the Life Perspectives Learning System. We invite you to take a look at these courses and make a difference in the lives of those who struggle or grieve after pregnancy and reproductive loss.
Continuing Education
We are nationally accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) as a Continuing Education Provider.
We are also approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs. Life Perspectives maintains responsibility for our program and its content.

Reproductive Grief Care [2 Contact Hours]
Life Perspectives Reproductive Grief Care education for medical professionals helps physicians, nurses, and other medical providers to recognize reproductive loss, grief reactions, and learn to help patients actualize the loss, validate the grief, and begin to cope with those experiences. This course equips healthcare providers with a variety of effective communication modalities, cultural and spiritual competency skills, various options for memorialization, practical applications, and personal self-care strategies to positively impact the grief trajectory and promote healing for the bereaved.

Reproductive Grief Care Training
One in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage and one in four women in the US will have an abortion by the age of 45. Although these losses occur very differently, the grief experience is similar and affects men, women, family members, and friends.
Our unique Reproductive Grief Care Training for health care professionals, pregnancy centers and clinics, universities and social service agencies, can bring hope and healing to hurting people who may be suffering alone.

Reproductive Grief Care Training
Reproductive Grief Care Training is a 2.5-hour seminar for faith-based leaders who want their organizations to bring hope and healing to hurting people who may be suffering alone.
Training will help broaden the understanding of grief and loss after miscarriage and abortion, providing essential knowledge, skills, and empathetic listening tools. It will also explore how to be a safe place for hurting men and women, and provide practical resources to support those in the community.
This training is also ideal for family and friends of people who have been impacted by reproductive loss, to help them in their healing journey.

Life Perspectives Reproductive Grief Care Organization Certification suits those centers and clinics seeking to provide the very highest level of care to patients and families. With training and practical resources for your entire team, it equips your organization to create an environment where a person feels safe to disclose his or her reproductive history, and adequately support individuals in the midst of, or after, a loss. Organization Certification positions you as a center of excellence to provide the gold standard of reproductive grief care in your community.
This certification is awarded to centers that adopt Life Perspectives' Commitment of Care, appoint a Reproductive Grief Care Coordinator and demonstrate:
- Reproductive grief care competency among all staff and key volunteers
- Compliance with grief care best practices and protocols
- Adoption of adequate self-care policies
